Krishna Tewari
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brown University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Economics along with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Math. I currently work as a technical product manager overseeing digital banking products at a fintech company.
I have five years of tutoring experience which spans back to my senior year in high school when I first served as a tutor at my school’s AP resource center. I have been tutoring standardized testing for the past year and tutored a wide range of economics courses at Brown for three years. I was the head economics peer tutor leader at Brown University’s Sheridan Center during my junior and senior year.
As a test prep and core subject instructor, I believe in creating a strong foundation within core concepts which are further refined through intentional practice problems. My philosophy for guiding families through the college admissions process is to try as many things as possible in order for students to truly feel confident about what they want to pursue during college. I wants to ensure your child gets into their dream school and has a strong support network and fond memories to look back upon when reminiscing about their high school experience.
During high school, I took 16 AP classes and received the AP Scholar with Distinction award in both junior and senior years whilst receiving the AP School with Honors award my sophomore year. I graduated high school with a 5.14 weighted GPA on a 4.0 scale and received the district wide Richard C Kolze Achievement Award. Over the course of my high school career, I was a National Speech and Debate Association national qualifier in Lincoln-Douglas debate and a four year varsity athlete captaining the tennis team my senior year. I also led my math team to its first top 10 state tournament finish in program history.
I have a variety of internship experience spanning both big tech and finance. I spent two summers interning at Microsoft as both a software engineer and a product manager along with a summer at Ernst and Young. I also interned as a quantitative research analyst at a hedge fund and as a business development analyst at an education-technology startup.
In my free time, I love to search for the next great podcast and spend time outdoors playing as many sports as possible.
